Fnac celebrates photography
To mark its 70th anniversary, Fnac is celebrating photography
with several exhibitions from its collection built up since 1978
and a book edited by Quentin Bajac published by Gallimard.
This major collection includes works by Jane Evelyn Atwood,
Denis Dailleux, Bernard Descamps, Stéphane Duroy, Françoise Huguier
and Patrick Taberna.

Serie | A world is staged like a model with its copies and its originals blending together, leaving room only for the confusion of an imperfect resemblance.

Holding, Arriving, Photographing Tonnerre, 2017-2024

Serie | For seven years, photographer Jean-Robert Dantou has been carrying out research into documentary photography in a commune on the outskirts of Paris, as part of a doctorate in Research and Creation (SACRe - ENS - PSL).

Hollywood Nightmares, 2024

Série | Hollywood Nightmares is a series of self-portraits by photographer Raphaël Neal, inspired by the portrait aesthetics of the stars of the golden age of cinema (from the 1930s to the 1950s).

Watching and Killing, 2024

Serie | This series of images brings together screen photographs, representing a detail of video produced by drones transformed to drop bombs and grenades on Russian troops and used by the Ukrainian army on the front line.

Men and giants, 2024

Serie | They dance under the skirts of their giants, observing the world through a small opening, these balancing carriers play with gravity. Whirling in the heart of the crowd captivated by these immense characters straight from the past.

Whether it's freeing itself, taking to the skies, hanging in the air for the duration of a Chute, or floating, levitating between the shelves of the Hyper Consumption store, it defies the urban environment, social constraints and extracts itself from an overly materialistic reality.
