Kurdistan, life under trees

series| In the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan, every tree has a story and every village has its own myths and legends about trees. But bombing and illegal felling are increasingly threatening the trees and the centuries-old traditions linked to them.

To celebrate the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2022, the exhibition Traversées d'Europe (Crossings of Europe) brings together six long-term transnational projects, six unique and original perspectives on Europe. Paolo Verzone's Cadets series will be exhibited: a project that took him across Europe to capture the portraits of cadets from the continent's greatest military academies.

The exhibition "HIV/AIDS, the epidemic is not over" traces the social and political history of AIDS. Taking a retrospective and contemporary look at the epidemic as well as at the mobilizations it has generated, it wishes to contribute to the fight. Photographs from the series "Act Up" (2009) by Christian Poveda as well as those from the series "Jean-Louis: Living and Dying with AIDS" (1987) by Jane Evelyn Atwood will be exhibited on this occasion.
