Country Veterinarian, 2008
A contemporary incarnation of James Herriot, Dr. Graham Hart was born almost fifty years ago in Cuckfield, Sussex, a romantic countryside in southeast England. The animal lover with the predestined name – Hart means “deer” in English – did not choose to be a veterinarian in the Pyrenees by chance. This nature lover has cultivated the attraction of the mountains since his youth, the only refuges on a planet devastated by the “disastrous consequences of the greenhouse effect”. He left to discover the Ariège twenty years ago, and has been living there with his family for a decade, still charmed by this Land of Courage where his favorite lepidopterans frolic in freedom.
