Oradour, 2006
Oradour is a village near Limoges, France, where the Nazis perpetrated a massacre on June 10, 1944. Similar to the massacre of Marzabotto in Italy, it was the largest massacre of civilians perpetrated by the German army in France. The 643 inhabitants were killed for no reason and the village was completely burnt down. The ruins are preserved intact and are classified as Historical Monuments since 1946.
