The Saint-Michel jail, Toulouse, 2003
The last days of activity of a decrepit prison have been frozen forever by the Regional Prison Services of Toulouse. Built in 1870, the “prison” of Saint-Michel was described as “a disgrace to the Republic” by the Secretary of State for the Justice Real Estate Program. At the end of January 2003, its 480 inmates were transferred to the new prison of Seysses, twenty kilometers from the pink city.
Series realized in 2003 in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne (France).
