Roland Allard
biography
From 1970 to 1985 Rolland Allard was a photojournalist for l’Express and later Le Point magazines. He took portraits of writers such as Julien Gracq and Samuel Beckett and for film directors like Orson Welles or Francis Ford Coppola. He also worked as a cinema set photographer and has been a director for cinema and television since 1985.
In 1986 he participated in the creation of Agence VU. The same year he became the photo director of the daily newspaper Libération.
His first movie “Dornénavant tout sera comme d’habitude” received the Antenne 2 Grand Prize for documentary films and the Grand Prize for Jewish Cinema.
