Reopening of the Samaritaine
On the occasion of the reopening of the Samaritaine after more than 15 years of closure and 7 years of work, a selection of photographs by Pierre-Olivier Deschamps is exhibited throughout the five floors of the Grand Magasin.
From 2013 to 2021, Pierre-Olivier Deschamps followed and documented each phase of this titanic restoration and rehabilitation project. Some 6,000 images are part of the Samaritaine’s photographic collection, already rich in photographs of its construction sites of the beginning of the 20th century.
