For its 2022 edition, Photo Doc. proposes an exploration of the new writings of documentary photography that resonate with the french word “Advenir” (to become). The 3-day fair invites collectors and amateurs to acquire photographs that engage them in the transformation of the world.
Galerie Art-Z will present prints by Françoise Huguier, from her Secrètes series. For this photographic work, realized in 1996 in Burkina Faso and Mali, the photographer took the time to meet people: she talked to them, entered their homes, entered the women’s rooms that keep all their secrets, and listened to them. Thus, she earned the right to photograph their lives, and brought back a series of portraits captured with intimacy, simplicity and shared respect.
