During a photographic residency in 2021-2022, Pierre-Olivier Deschamps produced a series of portraits of the inhabitants of Champigny-sur-Marne in their homes, as well as an exploration of the urban landscapes of their neighbourhood.
Favouring the long time required by analogue photography, Pierre-Olivier Deschamps was able to create an exchange and a closeness with the inhabitants who accepted to have their portrait taken.
In parallel to this work, Pierre-Olivier Deschamps conducted a photographic workshop with a primary school class at the Jacques Solomon school, giving them the opportunity to practice portraiture.
