We already knew the history of Ukraine through the terrible story of Chernobyl, and today we know Ukraine with the return of war and Russian aggression.
Ukraine is at the heart of Guillaume Herbaut’s work, and he has returned there every year since 2001. Through his photos, Herbaut questions the way in which we capture the traces of history and bears witness to the Ukrainian people’s fight for freedom. To this end, he has covered major events such as Chernobyl, the Orange Revolution in 2004, the war in Donbass, Crimea, the Maïdan revolution, and currently the conflict with Russia.
