David Sauveur — Hazaras, le peuple oublié d’Afghanistan
Jardin anglais
9 Rue Néel de la Vigne, 22100 Dinan, Côtes-d’Armor
From June 17 to October 2, 2022
David Sauveur went to Afghanistan in November 2006 with Action Against Hunger, which has set up a humanitarian program to help the Hazaras. This ethnic minority, victim of discrimination because they are Shiite and not Sunni like all the other ethnic groups in Afghanistan, was particularly persecuted under the Taliban regime and will surely continue to be so with the return of the Taliban to power. David Sauveur first went to their region, the Hazaradjat, the high valleys in the center of Afghanistan, and then to Kabul, in the brickworks district, where the Hazaras live.
Seduced by David Sauveur’s sensitivity and the way he reports on his experience with the Hazaras minority, the City of Dinan wished to present his work in the form of a stroll through the Jardin Anglais.
