Extérieur nuit
Over a period of ten years, Jane Evelyn Atwood visited schools for the blind in France, Australia, Israel, Japan and the United States. The photographer, fascinated by the visual, became passionate about these young blind people who cannot see and wanted to capture their evolution in a sighted world. Jane Evelyn Atwood has created poignant black and white portraits of these blind people she has met all over the world. For this work initiated in the 1980s she received the W. Eugene Smith Award.
