“The Republican Guard is a subdivision of the National Gendarmerie that carries out honorary and security missions for the highest authorities of the State as well as security missions for the benefit of the public.
It also contributes to the cultural influence of France with its musical and special formations. Finally, it carries out assistance, training and cooperation missions, both in France and abroad. The headquarters of the staff of the Republican Guard is located in the Célestins district in the 4th arrondissement of Paris. I made these images as part of a commission for Paris Match to be published on July 14, 2006…. Zidane’s head shot unfortunately erased this publication…this subject never came up again. »
