Rites de Passages, 1999-2007
“Rites of Passage” is a collection of photographs that explores adolescent rites of passage, during the time of a party, through different communities in Northern Europe, Russia, the United States and Cuba.
In a kind of enthronement, these celebrations bring together in one moment and in one place all the values that make up adolescence, namely the recognition of family and society, social and loving exchange, the cult of appearance and finally identity by the group. These photographs were taken between 1999 and 2007 and are part of different series.
