Pianissimo 2nd chapter, 2009
The time spent with the dancer and choreographer Virgilio Sieni and these children was inspired, unconsciously, by the idea of “trace”.
Dance, as Vigilio Sieni defines it, is made of movements through which we escape from our daily life, a series of blurred movements that do not follow a “utility” but translate an inner feeling. We went to different places and in the end it was all one place, an inner place.
It was a pleasure to work with Virgilio and the children. There was never any question of choreography or script. There were suggestions, ideas, reactions. There were laughs and questions. Then we got behind the camera to see the children interact with the environment.
Something happened and I sought to collect the traces of the exquisite dances of these four fairies.
