On assignment for the Washington Post, Cyril Zannettacci covered the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Between the end of August and the beginning of September the French capital welcomed, a month after the Olympics, the 169 international delegations of Paralympic athletes who would compete for 12 days at the same competition venues.
As with the Olympic Games, the 4,400 para-athletes and para-sporters present competed in athletics and swimming, but also in wheelchair basketball, seated volleyball and in disciplines only present in handisport, such as cecifoot and goalball.
