OVNI (Organics Visions of a Imaginary Nature), 1997
The wound is visible, a red stain appears on his body. Trace of a fierce fight, agonizing mountain. Elsewhere in the middle of a wood, a tree uprooted by the wind. Lying facing the sky, and the ice screaming. In the middle of sleeping fjords, skin fragmented to infinity. Further south, a volcanic eruption, an annihilated village soon covered. With a concrete mantle, in the distance the war, ruthless enemy… Digs deep wounds and leaves landmarks, metal hydra…
Predatory man, modifies without limits the contours and order of nature. Like so many traces of a passage drawing new undefined objects, surprising materialities. Then the imaginary prevails. The glance evolves without respite to reach new spaces. Visions or representations of the mind?
The absence of geographical landmarks and human presence reinforces the feeling of strangeness and mystery. As open witnesses, these intimate metamorphoses of nature also question us about our “earthly journey”.
