Once upon a time in Le Perche, 2019
On the invitation of Christine Ollier, Guillaume Zuili came to Perche, in Normandy, to participate in the Champ des Impossibles residency. Throughout the fall far from the Asphalt of Los Angeles, It is a campaign that is reminiscent in its components of certain elements of the Old West. This stay allowed him to return to his origins and therefore approach the French landscape guided by the charm of the countryside and the forests. He has created a collection of hundreds of images thanks to his singular and mysterious approach, which goes beyond the usual clichés of this so picturesque territory. The influence of cinema undoubtedly has a lot to do with the treatment of framing, light and blur. Beyond the landscape, he formed personnal links with many inhabitants whose secret paths he followed, shared a good time and even photographed them. Twelve of these images have joined the collection of the Perche ecomuseum.
