Continuing his world tour of extreme cities (the most populated, the most polluted), Steeve Iuncker offers his impressions of New York, through this series of images.
A cosmopolitan city by nature, it is also a place of strong contrasts. Two worlds exist side by side: great poverty in certain districts and opulent wealth in upmarket New York.
It is the city with the most billionaires in the world, due to its economic attractiveness but also its cultural appeal (it has the largest number of theatres) and its openness to the world.
With its 7 airports, it is indeed the best served city on earth.
Through this urban stroll, from street scenes to images taken in the underground, Iuncker gives us a portrait of New York, at the antipode of a city prized by billionaires, thus revealing all the contrasts of which it is the scene.
