Any city in its image and, increasingly, cities, like entire parts of the planet, are disappearing behind the images that are supposed to reflect it. Naples is no exception to the rule and, because it is to the south, because it is a port, the clichés of small fishermen wearing the traditional hat and selling contraband cigarettes while singing a song have become synonymous with Naples.
