The « Grand Paris » Project, 2020
As part of a photographic project organized in two stages, Pierre-Olivier Deschamps captures the areas of the future Grand Paris Express train stations before and after the construction sites were built.
The choice of black and white, far from wanting to give a pastist glimpse, is a choice in order not to distract the eye and to highlight the lines of force, borders, barriers and geometries.
This large-scale photographic campaign will continue in 2021. The idea is to return to twenty of these future station districts that have since been transformed by the construction sites of the new metro.
As part of the 2021 Greetings Campaign of the Société du Grand Paris, Pierre-Olivier Deschamps has produced four Before/After photographs showing the evolution of the sites between 2012 and 2020.
