Harbor City, Los Angeles, 2016
Guillaume Zuili continues his work in the footsteps of the American myth he has tirelessly immortalized for over fifteen years in the neighborhoods of Los Angeles: Harbor City, Wilmington or San Pedro.
In this territory in perpetual motion, these traces are captured here by the pinhole of the photographer who opts for a square format. The cities of Harbor City and Wilmington are intimately linked to the region’s port activities as well as refineries, container storage, parking lots, trains and power plants. All this atmosphere transmitted by the photographer shows us a demystified Los Angeles that no longer exists, except as a memory of this American dream.
