Extimacy, craving for visibility, 2011
What are those who broadcast their image on the Internet through webcams looking for? And what do those who watch them get out of it? Being visible in order to exist seems to have become a goal in itself. With this series, Olivier Coulange proposes a small essay on the aesthetics of images produced by webcams taken as a medium in a new space of games and eroticism, born with the Internet.
The webcam-toy thus participates in the shaping of fantasies, expectations, exhibition and opens to another dimension of intimacy and our way of being.
