Flights, Mata Atlantica, 2022
An escape into the heart of the Mata Atlantica, the primary forest that begins a few dozen kilometers from the megalopolis of São Paulo and stretches for 300 kilometers to the coast of the state of São Paulo, before flowing into the ocean. All the inhabitants I met, from the earthworker to the rich landowner, have in common that they have permanently escaped from the suffocating and overpopulated capital, to find a connection with nature and with themselves. In this preserved Eden, the feeling of being alone in the world dominates.
