Monkey or dog, strange or familiar animal, Michel Vanden Eeckhoudt does not describe. He fixes the moment of an encounter between two beings so close, so different.
This series from the 70s to the 90s, taken in Europe as well as in Tokyo and Cairo, poetically addresses the themes of doubling and the relationship that can exist between man and animal. Beyond the unusual, the comical, which he underlines without caricature, is the respect of the other, tenderness, humility.
