Clément under the same sky, 2018
Over time, images build a memory, a story.
In the ones I gather here, thirteen years separate the first photo from the most recent one. When my son Clément appears in “Arles, 2004”, he is 4 years old. He is 17 in “The Hague, 2017”. This series is dedicated to him.
During these thirteen years, I have followed in his footsteps, keeping the photographic memory of subtle changes, invisible in daily life, that have taken him from childhood to adulthood. In each one of us the child is always there, will always reappear on certain occasions, and the images will then be a proof, a recourse: “it was me as a child”.
Under the same sky, at once changing and unchanging, on which time has no hold, life flows. Photographs are a mooring.
