Animae, 1991
This work is a look at animality and more particularly at this extremely tenuous thread that separates it from humanity. This narrow, fragile border, where man recognizes himself in the animal and vice versa.
An intention of rapid capture, close to the sketch technique, directed the image processing. There is no reframing here. I had to capture the essence of the animal by synthesizing a line, a curve, an opposition of masses, tones, etc….
