The jury of the 3rd edition of the Prix Caritas Photo Sociale has chosen Cyril Zannettacci as the winner for his series Parler à ceux que l’on n’écoute jamais !
It is in the heart of a care unit for the homeless that photographer Cyril Zannettacci witnesses in 2021, the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic.
Located in Nanterre, at the gates of Paris, the Centre d’Hébergement et d’Assistance aux Personnes Sans-Abri (CHAPSA), a unique place in France, welcomes and accompanies homeless people in a care process.
With its air of an abandoned hospital, the center has been welcoming homeless people since the end of the 19th century. Not having the same resources, nor the same reputation as traditional medicine, social medicine suffers from a considerable lack of means.
His work will benefit from the publication of a monograph by Editions Filigranes in November 2022, a first exhibition at the Galerie Le Château d’Eau in Toulouse from November 22, 2022, then an exhibition in Paris in early 2023.
