Philippe Brault — Urbex Rouge
Galerie Guigon
39 rue de Charenton
75012 Paris (FRANCE)
From the 7th to the 8th of November 2019
On November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall fell. In Eastern Europe, the great buildings of communism are deserted, looted, forgotten. Today in a state of ruin, these spectacular and threatening settings have remained frozen in the past. From Stalin’s secret sanatorium in Georgia to the flying saucer of Bouzloudja in Bulgaria, urban explorations in the footsteps of nostalgic “soviet fans”, followers of red brutalism and crazy tourists.
9 photographs by Philippe Brault will be exhibited on the occasion of the release of Anne-Lise Carlo’s web series Arte, Urbex Rouge produced by Squaw Production.
