Philippe Brault , Jean-Robert Dantou , Claude Pauquet , Adrien Selbert , Cyril Zannettacci — L’Âge d’or, une épopée politique
Maison de la culture d’Amiens
2, place Léon Gontier, 80000, Amiens
From May 27 to October 10, 2021
Conceived with the co-writer Roxanne Moreil, the exhibition at the Maison de la Culture d’Amiens highlights the committed dimension of The Golden Age. Nourished by the many historical and contemporary references that inspired the authors, it reveals the political purpose of the album and its striking topicality. A historical fable set in an imaginary Middle Ages, The Golden Age makes us dream of a better world and gives us hope that this utopia may one day become reality. The visitor plunges into the heart of the story through sixty original plates and reproductions in very large format, while discovering the sources that led to the scenario and the virtuoso drawing of the album. Pieces from the 15th-16th centuries from the Musée de Picardie and contemporary artworks from the Frac Picardie Hauts-de-France complete the story. At once narrative, documented, immersive and accessible to all audiences, the exhibition offers a spotlight on the major work that is The Golden Age.
