In partnership with the Centre Social André-Malraux in Villepinte, the Joseph-Kessel Cultural Centre is exhibiting “Les Combattantes”, a series created in residency by Nolwenn Brod.

“Invited to the Centre Social André Malraux in Villepinte, I realize that a majority of women meet there. What binds them together, beyond their origins, their cultures, their backgrounds, their convictions, is motherhood.
During my visits to the different branches of the Centre and their workshops, I get to know some of these women of all ages, from all walks of life, with a singular background; women whom I would even define as true fighters.
Depending on their profile, they choose to talk to me about their relationship with their own mother or to evoke the bond they have with their children or those of others. Each testimony is accompanied by a photographic portrait “
