Within the 32nd International Festival of Fashion and Photography of Hyères, Nolwenn Brod, finalist of the Photography category and laureate of the Elie Saab Prize, displays her series La Ritournelle at the Villa Noailles.
La Ritournelle comes from music, it refers to circular songs, to the movement of back and forth on a same theme, to the idea of always returning to the beginning. After living for several years in an important city, Marie and Jean settled in a village in France with their child. This “de-territorialization” initiates the action. They have not fled, but have made the vanishing lines run off, to produce new ones and approach a new territory.
