Martina Bacigalupo — My name is Filda Adoch
25th anniversary exhibition of the collection of the Centre Méditerranéen de la Photographie about documentary and photojournalism.
Arcades du Théâtre, rue César Campinchi – 20200 Bastia, France
From the 14th of June to the 13th of July 2012
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the collection of the Centre Méditerranéen de la Photographie, a first exhibition is dedicated to photojournalism and reportage photography. Martina Bacigalupo takes part of it with her series “My name is Filda Adoch”.
Whereas a mad rush for information maintains public’s appetite for consuming images indiscriminately, this exhibition would like to stop and focus on society facts and striking events of the last few years.
« My name is Filda Adoch » reports on the everyday life of a woman in the Gulu district, and shows the suffering the people of North Uganda. It is also the story of silent and extraordinary resistance.
