Israel Ariño was invited by the Traverse association to spend two months in residence in Bagnères-de-Bigorre. His photographic series “Il faut y naître pour y rester” (24 black-and-white, medium-format, view camera images) invites us to take a poetic and sensitive stroll through the Vallon du Salut.
In addition to his photographic creations, Israel Ariño has led a mediation residency and worked with a number of organisations. Workshops, meetings, sharing: he has been in contact with local residents and stakeholders to forge lasting links between photography and the area.
