The Photojournalism International Center of Perpignan displays Ferhat Bouda’s work Latitude : 42.6976, Longitude : 2.8954. Shot within the framework of the Photojournalism International Center photography residency, this series tries hard to unveil the diversity of Perpignan territory.
“At that time, I only frequented Perpignan on the occasion of the Visa Festival. But, outside of it, Perpignan is quite another city… A territory that was unfamiliar for me and of which I wanted to discover the intimacy, beyond prejudices and clichés.”
Through his black and white photography falling within a documentary approach, Ferhat Bouda combines pictures of private and public places, portraits and street photography. He cunningly shows the inherent diversity of this living territory located at the crossroads of trade routes, migratory flows, geographies, cultures and communities.
