Ferhat Bouda, Andrew Quilty, Cyril Zannettacci and Catalina Martin-Chico — « Surexposés », le dérèglement climatique VU’ par Action contre la Faim
Biennale Photoclimat
Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, 4e arrondissement, 75004 Paris
From September the 18th to October the 17th 2021
Climate change is contributing to an increase in worldwide hunger. Desertification and flooding force many populations to move or even go into exile to ensure their survival.
Action contre la Faim has called upon four photographers from the Agence VU’ in order to give a striking visibility to the emergency situation that climate change imposes on populations that are already greatly weakened. Each of them bears witness, in a different region of the world, to the specific difficulties encountered on the ground (bad weather, drought, access to drinking water, reduction of agricultural activities, food insecurity, etc.).
Andrew Quilty went to Afghanistan, Ferhat Bouda to Chad, Catalina Martin-Chico to Panama and Cyril Zannettacci to Kenya.
Through their photographs, this exhibition captures the reality of the impact of climate change on the daily lives of individuals, families and communities around the world.
