The body carries a social and political message. Whether it’s freeing itself, taking flight, hanging in the air for the duration of a Chute, or floating, levitating between the shelves of hyper-consumption, it defies the urban environment, social constraints and extracts itself from an overly materialistic reality. This precarious balance raises questions about our place in society. How can we emancipate ourselves from constraints and fight against the resignation of an assigned place? This is also the issue at stake in the ACT series, carried out with disabled people. Movements free themselves for a moment from an impeded body, with grace and majesty. Denis Darzacq creates a powerful, liberating energy that flows from his models to us. He invites us to become one with others.
