Yvon Lambert has a very special relationship with the city of Naples, since he went to discover it for the first time about twenty years ago to give us his vision of it far from the tourist clichés. The result of this expedition was collected in a book entitled “Naples – Un hiver”.

In 2011, the photographer wanted to return to Naples to see if he could recapture the emotions of the past, and he brought us many images that give off the atmosphere that is so specific to Yvon Lambert’s photographs. He gives us the taste of a journey, of going against these characters who have come out of the shadows and obscure alleys, but not in the manner of a tourist guide who presents a city from its best angle with explicit photographs “in colour and blue sky”.
