Momentum, la mécanique de l’épreuve

“Momentum, La Mécanique de l’épreuve” is the first major exhibition of JR in a French institution (European House of Photography). In particular, it brings together the artist’s first photographs, monumental collages of his biggest projects, and several new installations.

This work reflects on this exhibition. Its manufacture uses different printing, binding and transparency techniques for paper. Four members of the Oulipo, a group of writers and mathematicians founded in 1960 by Raymond Queneau and François Le Lionnais, come to punctuate its edition with texts in resonance with the work of JR.
