Lo Que Se Ve
“Lo que se ve” (what we see), an anthological work, presents 152 photographs addressing the main recurring themes in Adriana’s work: the mother-daughter relationship, women in prison, teenage mothers, love and intimacy.
The images – the result of more than 30 years of work and encounters – are accompanied by quotes from Sara Gallardo, John Berger, Alejandra Pizarnik, Clarice Lispector, Carl Jung, Raymond Carver and Pedro Salinas.
The book ends with two texts by Maria de los Angeles Chiqui Gonzalez and Marta Dillon, describing the beauty, hope and intensity of aestheticism in Adriana Lestido’s work.
