En plein dans la nuit
A series of Bertrand Desprez’s photographs has been entrusted to Hélène Gaudy. The two of them never had met each other. Hélène Gaudy inspired of these images which she knew nothing for writing the text.
Presentation of the publisher :
Where does this violence come from, Julien?, questions the school psychologist.
It started because of a book read aloud in class, The Legend of St. Julian the Hospitaller by Flaubert.
Rhoda was mocking of him, so he fought like a dog. Then he sneaked out of the school, through the hole in the fence behind the fir trees. That’s where he found the gun. Two days before, a guy went into college, threatened a teacher in his class with the gun, then left without shooting.
Pierre took the gun to Chen his old friend, the one he didn’t defend when he was attacked by Rhoda.
Together they found what to do with this gun: kill the big boss, the intimate enemy, because everyone had a big boss…
This short novel of incredible density leads us like in apnea into the head of a little lost teenager. The cruel universe of adolescence is evoked without effect, without self-pity, head-on, and leaves us speechless.
