‘I took the photos for my book Stockholm during the period 2008 to 2010. The story is about my life in the city during that time. It all began after a severe back injury left me unable to walk for six months. As a result I was stuck in Stockholm – usually I work outside Sweden – and this gave me an opportunity and reason to use the camera to depict my own life. I have documented people who are close to me but also people I met on the street and then went to their homes to photograph. In doing this project I always tried to remain close to my own environments and my own everyday life.’
