60th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

In 2019, the Cuban revolution celebrated its 60th anniversary. In the midst of an increasingly complex and reactive to communist ideology world, the island is faced with its first non-Castro president since 1959.

A caravan filled with many young soldiers and few old revolutionaries left Santiago de Cuba for Havana in celebration of a revolution that has already lost both its commanders and several of its combatants.

The moment of change is established to the extent that after so many years with little political rotation, the new president, Miguel Díaz-Canel tries to popularize the idea of a referendum to modify the constitution against North American political and economic pressure and supporting leftist governments across Latin America among which, the Venezuelan regime.
