Residency at the Champ des Impossibles Festival

Guillaume Zuili

Le Jardin François
Le Clos
61340 Préaux-du-Perche (FRANCE)
0237496419

From 2019-04-27 to 2019-06-02

By focusing on the double exposure analogue technique, Guillaume Zuili documents Berlin, Moscow, Paris, Praha and Lisbon and his style is out of touch with realism. Using this same line, he also documents his obsession of the American myth. He refines his photographic print, going towards the grain abstraction.

During his residency at the Champ des Impossibles this autumn, the photographer immersed himself in the landscape and produced more than 100 printings developed over the time he spent here. Besides the lands, the trees and the sky, he underlined diverse aspects of local architecture by taking an other look at frontages and bowing perspectives.

Fascinated by lights, fogs and moonlights, he shows a truly original outlook of this picturesque territory. The overall is supplemented with portraits from the neo-rural population that gradually settled in the region. Those portraits were acquired by the Perche ecomuseum.
