This exhibition, organized by historian Laura Terré, traces the career of the photographer, a member of the AFAL group, whose work can be divided into two distinct periods: from 1955 to 1969 and from 1982 to 2005. However, neither his style nor his motivations changed during the period when he left photography. In the second period, Galicia is the territory of his research: the ancestral pilgrimages, the pagan festivals and the Holy Week processions that led him to cross Portugal in search of his authenticity.

Children from all social classes, people from villages, teenagers drunk at parties, powerful women at work... His work also observes the feelings, the little things abandoned, the loss of faith and loneliness she produces, the incisive portrait at a short distance of anonymous individuals, the fragile ones, the different ones. Faces hidden by carnival masks, by religious veils. There are three intertwined elements in Terré's work: the reign of children, celebrations, and death, this dark presence that must be known.

The purpose of this exhibition is to communicate to the hearts of today, but with its long-standing language, a surprising new Terré.
