In Roses<\/em>, Brooke DiDonato uses wax and skin as her main elements. The slow melting of wax on the models\u2019 bodies explore the concepts of time, waiting and consummation in a poetic, visually-striking photo series.<\/p>\n

“I like that flowers can symbolize an array of meanings- love, mourning, purity- the list goes on. They change with context and I like finding new ways to incorporate them. The series “Roses” was created over the course of a few weeks in my studio using some rose candles that I found on eBay.
