She has been a member of the VU&#8217; agency since 2016 and has been represented by the VU&#8217; gallery since 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Nolwenn Brod builds a phenomenological photography, one that places the experience of the encounter at the heart of the creative process. It all began in Ireland in the footsteps of her father (Va-t&#8217;en me perdre o\u00f9 tu voudras, 2015 &#8211; Poursuite Editions), then in cities with an industrial or port history, affected by war: Lodz, Warsaw, Gdansk in Poland, Beirut in Lebanon and more recently Brest in Brittany.<\/p>\n<p>There is often a question of the representation of an inner struggle, of a duel, of the forms created by the conflicting forces. Each portrait, each individual case, is necessary; the photographic bodies are society. The meticulous observation of significant everyday gestures, the micro-sensation, the micro-event, the lability of the present moment between beings and their ontology nourish his work. With, on, under, through, would be as many conjunctions to apprehend the environment and the inhabitants in and with whom she is brought to work.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div class=\"flex_column av_two_fifth  av-break-at-tablet flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding   avia-builder-el-16  el_after_av_two_fifth  avia-builder-el-last  \" style='border-radius:0px; '><section class=\"av_textblock_section \"  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/CreativeWork\" ><div class='avia_textblock  '   itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The projects are often nourished by literary companionship: Witold Gombrowicz&#8217;s structuralism of the street accompanies her in Poland during the production of Le Temps de l&#8217;immaturit\u00e9 (2018-21, in progress); in Creuse, along the lines of Gilles Deleuze, she composes the photographs of La Ritournelle (2015-16); more recently, Jean-Luc Nancy, Charles S. Peirce or Tanguy Viel inspire Les Hautes solitudes \u00e0 Brest (2021-22 in progress).<\/p>\n<p>She develops her projects within the framework of creative residencies in France and Europe where she mixes photography and video; and in parallel responds to commissions for the press and institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Her work is regularly exhibited in France and Europe and is part of the collections of the Bnf, the Mus\u00e9e Nic\u00e9phore Ni\u00e9pce, the Mus\u00e9e de Bretagne, the Villa Noailles, the Agn\u00e8s b collection, the Neuflize OBC company fund, art libraries and private collections.<br \/>\nHis first book was published by Poursuite in 2015, the second is in preparation (Les hautes solitudes).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><!-- close content main div
