This edition dedicated to the 40 years of Fran\u00e7oise Huguier\u2019s career, a photojournalist with an exceptional destiny, brings women into the spotlight.  <\/span>This original portfolio published in the RSF album \u201c100 photographs for the freedom of press\u201d appears as a wonderful kaleidoscope of her \u201cart of withdrawal \u201c, as qualifies it Gerard Lefort, journalist and writer who pay an amused and emotive tributes to her. <\/span><\/p>\n

She opens her archives to us, from Siberia to fashion shows, from her famous portraits to a look back to her childhood marked by her captivity in Indochina. <\/span><\/p>\n

If she defines herself as a simple \u201cdocumentary photographer\u201d, Fran\u00e7oise Huguier has imposed her multiple-faceted gaze in the world of photography, but also in the world of cinema, fashion, documentary film and report. <\/span><\/p>\n

Her long and eclectic collaboration with the daily newspaper Liberation, her long-stays in Africa and Asia, in Siberia, in St. Petersburg, in Brittany, have sharpened in her a sense of discreet closeness with the subjects she photographed, especially with women. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
