Paul Rebeyrolle (1926-2005) is one of the greatest French painters. His work has developed outside official and academic circuits. Admired by Sartre or Foucault, his naturalist and expressionist work develops themes such as freedom, revolt and injustice on large formats. This lover of Caravaggio, who was formed in his youth by contemplating the paintings of the Louvre, reflected a lot on creation.
