After having walked up the five hundred and twenty-five kilometers of the Marne, from Paris to its source on the Langres plateau, G\u00e9rard Rondeau descended the course aboard a 1914 Freycinet-type barge, fitted out in studio boat, capturing landscapes and meeting men. More than one hundred and fifty people climbed on the bridge and, facing a fixed camera and in front of the passing landscape, each one expressed their sensitive relationship with the river.
